material trends

I wanted to share this production with you. Photographer Nicole Minneboo and I made this in October last year. I chose different materials that I believed were or would become trend in interior: Gold, marble, paper, coloured glass and cork. We made 5 sets in the studio based on these materials. Many thanks to all the designers and shops that worked with us to get this result!

About the design: “‘En Voyage’ is a collection of hand-crafted stone objects inspired on toy trains. A small version to be worn as a bracelet, that can thoughtlessly wheel around your wrist; a bigger version to be used as desk toy. The objects stimulate our senses in a subtle way; by their shape and their association with children’s toys they inspire physical interaction. They encourage us to be caught up in the moment, something we could do so easily as a child.”
