It has been a few months since the Salone del Mobile in Milan took place. Even so, I would like to share my pictures of the Nendo solo exhibition Invisible Outlines at the Jill Sander showroom in the center of Milan.  Continue Reading →

IKEA and Hay reveal full collaborative Ypperlig collection

IKEA and Hay have released a set of images that show the full range of furniture and homeware products from their collaboration. The Ypperlig collection, which was first announced during IKEA’s Democratic Design Day event in Sweden last year, will be released in October 2017. The collaboration has seen Hay work alongside the Swedish furniture giant work to come up with pieces that “challenge people’s perception of IKEA quality and design”. Continue Reading →

Serge Najjar

I came across de work of Serge Najjar on Pinterest and I liked it very much, that’s why I wanted to share it with you on this blog. “Serge Najjar’s approach to photography is intuitive. It derives from his passion for modern and contemporary art. He easily references Kazimir Malevich’s “Architectons”, Josef Albers’ abstract compositions, Robert Mangold and Ellsworth Kelly, and also Aurélie Nemours, Frank Stella and Sol LeWitt. The graphic approach of the Russian Avant-garde and, specifically, Alexander Rodchenko catches Najjar’s interest early on his career: deciphering the image and its construction will come to guide the structure of his future endeavours. She strives to create work that is functional, but also attracts the eye. Her never-ending search for minimalism in layout, typography, paper and color results in work that can be described as raw industrial without ever losing a touch of refinement. Bold typography versus a thin elegant line.

loudcloud launch

Next to PURE styling, I started a new business together with my sister Ester. For some years we have had the wish to work together, because we believe our skills would complement each other. The launch of LOUDCLOUD was last January, it has been a busy and exciting time and there still is much work to do but I am very proud of what we have accomplished until now. So I wanted to tell & show you something about it.  Continue Reading →

C more concept store

Last week I visited brand new C more concept store in the Honig complex in Nijmegen. Iris and Ynske sell items directly from the designers and the store has a very original collection of art & design.  The interior is basic industrial, a little raw at the edges…definitely worth a visit!
